PEUGEOT has continued its impressive start to 2021 with two award wins at the 2021 Company Car Today CCT100 Awards. The new PEUGEOT 5008 was named ‘SUV of the Year’ while the e-208 took home the ‘Electric Car of the Year’ title.

The new PEUGEOT 5008 is celebrating a remarkable fourth successive win as Company Car Today’s ‘SUV of the Year’ with this years’ title, while the PEUGEOT e-208’s win takes its medal haul up to six over the last 12 months, on top of the fully electric model being named European ‘Car of the Year’ alongside it’s petrol and diesel counterpart.

Company Car Today selects category winners from the CCT100 list – its rundown of the 100 best fleet vehicles. The CCT100 list is built after the expert judging panel evaluate models based on 13 key criteria, including running costs, efficiency, practicality, and car park appeal.

The new PEUGEOT 5008 impressed judges once again, thanks to its spacious modular interior with seven independent seats fitted as standard and practical cabin that features the award-winning PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®. The latter features the latest connectivity and safety technologies, including the option of Night Vision*, which is unique in the segment, Autonomous Emergency Braking and Active Blind Spot Detection (standard from Allure trim level upwards). Its efficient choice of PureTech petrol and Blue HDi diesel engines also helps keep fuel costs down for fleet operators.

The e-208 impressed Company Car Today judges with its zero-emissions range, eye-catching design and high levels of technology to take home the ‘Electric Car of the Year’ title.

The e-208 was the first new generation, fully electric vehicle from PEUGEOT and features a 50kWh battery connected to a 100kW (136hp) electric motor and is capable of up to 217 miles WLTP from a single charge. Supporting up to 100kW rapid charging, an 80% charge can be completed in just 30 minutes – making it ideal for fleet users. Its 0% BIK rate also helps businesses save even further.

Paul Barker, Editor at Company Car Today, said:
“A pair of wins for PEUGEOT this year illustrates the brand’s continued progress, with the excellent new e-208 showing that electric cars can be sensible, cost-effective to run and high quality

“The 5008’s recent revision makes what was already a multiple CCT100 Awards winner even better, adding more striking looks to an efficient and practical package.”

Steve Wass, Marketing Director of PEUGEOT UK, said: “I am extremely happy to hear the news of the support for our range from Company Car Today. The PEUGEOT 5008’s impressive run in scooping a fourth consecutive ‘SUV of the Year’ title is a testament to the hard work all of our team put into developing our model range.”

“This is an extremely exciting period for PEUGEOT as we are continuing to work towards making that all-important transition towards electrification. The PEUGEOT e-208 has received some really high praise since it first launched, and it is great to add the recognition of the Company Car Today team to its trophy cabinet.”
